Psalms 44:24

²⁴Why do you hide your face, and consider me your enemy?

²⁰He said, “I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end will be; for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.

⁹I will ask God, my rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”

²³Don’t forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.

¹¹He says in his heart, “God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.”

¹Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men. ²For you are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? ³Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, to your tents. ⁴Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.

¹Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

²³In the course of those many days, the king of Egypt died, and the children of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. ²⁴God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

¹How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

²⁷Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God”? ²⁸Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
