Psalms 39:13

¹⁰But man dies, and is laid low. Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he? ¹¹As the waters fail from the sea, and the river wastes and dries up, ¹²so man lies down and doesn’t rise. Until the heavens are no more, they will not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep.

²⁰Aren’t my days few? Stop! Leave me alone, that I may find a little comfort, ²¹before I go where I will not return from, to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death;

⁵Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his bounds that he can’t pass. ⁶Look away from him, that he may rest, until he accomplishes, as a hireling, his day.

¹⁹How long will you not look away from me, nor leave me alone until I swallow down my spittle?

²⁴Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him.

³⁶Jacob, their father, said to them, “You have bereaved me of my children! Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you want to take Benjamin away. All these things are against me.”
