Psalms 37:30

⁶Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

¹¹A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. ¹²As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover to an obedient ear. ¹³As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to those who send him; for he refreshes the soul of his masters.

⁷The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so with the heart of fools.

²⁹Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.

³⁵The good man out of his good treasure^[+] brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.

³¹The mouth of the righteous produces wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.

²¹The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.

¹⁵My mouth will tell about your righteousness, and of your salvation all day, though I don’t know its full measure.

⁷and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. ⁸You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. ⁹You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.

²⁴My tongue will also talk about your righteousness all day long, for they are disappointed, and they are confounded, who want to harm me.
