Psalms 34:6

¹⁷The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. ¹⁸The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. ¹⁹Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

⁴I cry to the LORD with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

¹⁷LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

¹⁶Come and hear, all you who fear God. I will declare what he has done for my soul. ¹⁷I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue. ¹⁸If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened. ¹⁹But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer. ²⁰Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.

¹David spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,

¹⁷But I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Don’t delay, my God.

¹⁴I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great suffering.^[+] They washed their robes and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

¹⁵Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them. ¹⁶They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; ¹⁷for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

¹⁶the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. Let them grow into a multitude upon the earth.”
