Psalms 32:1

⁶Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: ⁷“Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered. ⁸Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”

²²I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.

²You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah.

³⁸Be it known to you therefore, brothers,^[+] that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins; ³⁹and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

²⁵I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.

¹⁸Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness. ¹⁹He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

¹⁴Blessed are those who do his commandments,^[+] that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

¹⁸“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says the LORD: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

⁷“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose confidence is in the LORD. ⁸For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.

³“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.⁴Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.⁵Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.^6[+] Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. ⁷Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. ⁸Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. ⁹Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. ¹⁰Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

¹¹“Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. ¹²Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
