Psalms 30:7

²⁹You hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust.

⁷Hurry to answer me, LORD. My spirit fails. Don’t hide your face from me, so that I don’t become like those who go down into the pit.

⁵For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

¹⁷Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’

¹⁷Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

¹²You have granted me life and loving kindness. Your visitation has preserved my spirit.

²He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.

¹⁷For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted.

¹²For you will bless the righteous. LORD, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.

²⁶Now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this good thing to your servant. ²⁷Now it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, LORD, have blessed, and it is blessed forever.”
