Psalms 24:8

³The LORD is a man of war. The LORD^[+] is his name.

¹¹I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. ¹²His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. ¹³He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called “The Word of God.” ¹⁴The armies which are in heaven, clothed in white, pure, fine linen, followed him on white horses. ¹⁵Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod.He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

¹⁷I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the sky, “Come! Be gathered together to the great supper of God,^18[+] that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, small and great.” ¹⁹I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse and against his army. ²⁰The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. ²¹The rest were killed with the sword of him who sat on the horse, the sword which came out of his mouth. So all the birds were filled with their flesh.

²Then a white horse appeared, and he who sat on it had a bow. A crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.

³Strap your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and your majesty. ⁴In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds. ⁵Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king’s enemies. ⁶Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom.

¹⁵Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

¹Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? Who is this who is glorious in his clothing, marching in the greatness of his strength? “It is I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.” ²Why is your clothing red, and your garments like him who treads in the wine vat? ³“I have trodden the wine press alone. Of the peoples, no one was with me. Yes, I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath. Their lifeblood is sprinkled on my garments, and I have stained all my clothing. ⁴For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed has come. ⁵I looked, and there was no one to help; and I wondered that there was no one to uphold. Therefore my own arm brought salvation to me. My own wrath upheld me. ⁶I trod down the peoples in my anger and made them drunk in my wrath. I poured their lifeblood out on the earth.”

¹The LORD reigns! He is clothed with majesty! The LORD is armed with strength. The world also is established. It can’t be moved.

⁶For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

¹The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks, and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.

²⁴In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing within the earth; ²⁵because the LORD of Armies has blessed them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”
