Psalms 145:8

¹⁸‘The LORD is slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, forgiving iniquity and disobedience; and he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation.’

⁸The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.

⁵For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.

⁵The LORD is gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.

⁵For the LORD is good. His loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations.

²⁰The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly, ²¹that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁵But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

¹⁸Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness. ¹⁹He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. ²⁰You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

⁶The LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, “The LORD! The LORD, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth, ⁷keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.”
