2 Samuel 5:19-25

25David did so, as the LORD commanded him, and struck the Philistines all the way from Geba to Gezer.


2 Samuel 21:16-17

Joram brought with him vessels of silver, vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze. 11King David also dedicated these to the LORD, with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued12of Syria, of Moab, of the children of Ammon, of the Philistines, of Amalek, and of the plunder of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

13David earned a reputation when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand men of the Syrians in the Valley of Salt. 14He put garrisons in Edom. Throughout all Edom, he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.


Isaiah 45:1-6

1The LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held to subdue nations before him and strip kings of their armor, to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut: 2I will go before you and make the rough places smooth. I will break the doors of bronze in pieces and cut apart the bars of iron. 3I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, who calls you by your name, even the God of Israel. 4For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel my chosen, I have called you by your name. I have given you a title, though you have not known me. 5I am the LORD, and there is no one else. Besides me, there is no God. I will strengthen[+] you, though you have not known me, 6that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is no one besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no one else.
