Psalms 136:15

⁵³He led them safely, so that they weren’t afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

¹⁰and showed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, against all his servants, and against all the people of his land, for you knew that they dealt proudly against them, and made a name for yourself, as it is today. ¹¹You divided the sea before them, so that they went through the middle of the sea on the dry land; and you cast their pursuers into the depths, as a stone into the mighty waters.

⁹He sent signs and wonders into the middle of you, Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his servants.

²⁷Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. The LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea. ²⁸The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh’s army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them.

⁷¹salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; ⁷²to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant, ⁷³the oath which he swore to Abraham our father, ⁷⁴to grant to us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, should serve him without fear,

¹⁰You blew with your wind. The sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. ¹¹Who is like you, LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? ¹²You stretched out your right hand. The earth swallowed them. ¹³“You, in your loving kindness, have led the people that you have redeemed. You have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.

¹²In your loving kindness, cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul, for I am your servant.

⁵By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea.

⁴He has cast Pharaoh’s chariots and his army into the sea. His chosen captains are sunk in the Red Sea. ⁵The deeps cover them. They went down into the depths like a stone.

⁶Pour out your wrath on the nations that don’t know you, on the kingdoms that don’t call on your name, ⁷for they have devoured Jacob, and destroyed his homeland. ⁸Don’t hold the iniquities of our forefathers against us. Let your tender mercies speedily meet us, for we are in desperate need. ⁹Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name’s sake.
