Proverbs 4:24

²⁶If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.

⁸All the words of my mouth are in righteousness. There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.

¹³The fear of the LORD is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

²⁵Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. ²⁶“Be angry, and don’t sin.”t let the sun go down on your wrath, ²⁷and don’t give place^[+] to the devil. ²⁸Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need. ²⁹Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. ³⁰Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. ³¹Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.

²¹Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

¹²A worthless person, a man of iniquity, is he who walks with a perverse mouth,

¹Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,

⁸but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.

⁵constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.

¹⁴If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Don’t let unrighteousness dwell in your tents.
