Proverbs 3:20

¹¹In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the sky’s windows opened.

⁹You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it. ¹⁰You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop. ¹¹You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. ¹²The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness.

²⁷For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor, ²⁸which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.

⁸“Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke out of the womb, ⁹when I made clouds its garment, and wrapped it in thick darkness, ¹⁰marked out for it my bound, set bars and doors, ¹¹and said, ‘You may come here, but no further. Your proud waves shall be stopped here’?

²⁸God give you of the dew of the sky, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.

²⁶to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man, on the wilderness, in which there is no man, ²⁷to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to grow? ²⁸Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?

⁹God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear;” and it was so.

²²Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the sky give showers? Aren’t you he, the LORD our God? Therefore we will wait for you; for you have made all these things.

⁸The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them. ⁹You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.

²³“Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD, your God; for he gives you the early rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain, as before.
