Proverbs 29:6

¹²For man also doesn’t know his time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

¹Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD,^[+] and said, “I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously. He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.

²⁶and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

⁷The steps of his strength will be shortened. His own counsel will cast him down. ⁸For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh. ⁹A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him. ¹⁰A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him on the path.

⁶On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

¹⁵The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous. “The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

¹¹Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

²through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ³Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;

⁸whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

¹⁶I will also clothe her priests with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.
