Proverbs 2:11

⁶Don’t forsake her, and she will preserve you. Love her, and she will keep you.

¹⁵Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,

²¹Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.

¹⁰If the ax is blunt, and one doesn’t sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but skill brings success.

⁹How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. ¹⁰With my whole heart I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments. ¹¹I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

¹⁵Now a poor wise man was found in it, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. ¹⁶Then I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” Nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. ¹⁷The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the cry of him who rules among fools. ¹⁸Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroys much good.

²²When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you. ²³For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, ²⁴to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue.
