Proverbs 19:15

²¹for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags.

¹³Don’t love sleep, lest you come to poverty. Open your eyes, and you shall be satisfied with bread.

¹⁰For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: “If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.”

⁹How long will you sleep, sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep? ¹⁰A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep—

³³a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep,

¹¹Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed. ¹²The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.

⁴He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth. ⁵He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.

¹⁴Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

²⁴The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.

¹⁰His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They can’t bark— dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.
