Proverbs 16:10

¹Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice. ²A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

¹⁵Joseph said to them, “What deed is this that you have done? Don’t you know that such a man as I can indeed do divination?”

⁵Isn’t this that from which my lord drinks, and by which he indeed divines? You have done evil in so doing.’”

¹God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son. ²He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. ³The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness. ⁴He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.

²⁸All Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.

⁴They make promises, swearing falsely in making covenants. Therefore judgment springs up like poisonous weeds in the furrows of the field.

³The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, ‘One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God, ⁴shall be as the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through clear shining after rain.’

⁵“Behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that I will raise to David a righteous Branch; and he will reign as king and deal wisely, and will execute justice and righteousness in the land. ⁶In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. This is his name by which he will be called: The LORD our righteousness.

⁶Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom. ⁷You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.

⁷You who turn justice to wormwood, and cast down righteousness to the earth!
