Proverbs 15:29

³¹We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.

¹⁸The LORD is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. ¹⁹He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

⁸The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

¹²For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

¹⁵The LORD’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. ¹⁶The LORD’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth. ¹⁷The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

¹⁶Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. ¹⁷Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months. ¹⁸He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

²⁶In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. ²⁷He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.

¹²that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world. ¹³But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.

¹⁸If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened. ¹⁹But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer.

⁶For though the LORD is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but he knows the proud from afar.
