Proverbs 14:9

¹⁷for God’s Kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

²³It is a fool’s pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding’s pleasure.

¹⁸Like a madman who shoots torches, arrows, and death, ¹⁹is the man who deceives his neighbor and says, “Am I not joking?”

²⁰“So is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, and says, ‘I have done nothing wrong.’

¹⁵Good understanding wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard.

²²“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?

⁴So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

²A good man shall obtain favor from the LORD, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.

³⁵For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from the LORD.

¹⁸They said to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.”
