Proverbs 14:17

¹⁷He who is quick to become angry will commit folly, and a crafty man is hated.

¹⁷He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

¹⁷A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a devious man is hated.

¹⁷Quick-tempered people act foolishly, while people who make evil plans are hated.

²⁹He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly.

²²An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin.

⁹Don’t be hasty in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.

¹⁹So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;

¹⁸A wrathful man stirs up contention, but one who is slow to anger appeases strife.

²⁴Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man. Don’t associate with one who harbors anger,

³²One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city.
