Philippians 2:16

²⁶I therefore run like that, not aimlessly. I fight like that, not beating the air,

²I went up by revelation, and I laid before them the Good News which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately before those who were respected, for fear that I might be running, or had run, in vain.

¹That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life

⁶⁸Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.

¹⁴as also you acknowledged us in part—that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

⁵For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.

⁸“I tell you, everyone who confesses me before men, the Son of Man will also confess before the angels of God;

⁶³It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

¹⁵Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. ¹⁶But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness, ¹⁷and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:

⁴But I said, “I have labored in vain. I have spent my strength in vain for nothing; yet surely the justice due to me is with the LORD, and my reward with my God.”
