Mark 9:5

²³But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

¹⁷The LORD said to Moses, “I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

¹⁸Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”

¹⁹He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the LORD’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.” ²⁰He said, “You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live.” ²¹The LORD also said, “Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock. ²²It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by; ²³then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back; but my face shall not be seen.”

³There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will serve him. ⁴They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

⁸Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”

⁹Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

⁷the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’^[+] by men.

²He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress. I will never be greatly shaken. ³How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down, like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?

²¹One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”

²²Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”

²³Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

¹⁰For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

²Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.
