Mark 9:4

³⁰Behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah, ³¹who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure,^[+] which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.

³⁹“You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me.

⁴⁴He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms concerning me must be fulfilled.”

³Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.

⁴Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

²¹whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets. ²²For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you. ²³It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’²⁴Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, also told of these days.

¹⁹They answered, “‘John the Baptizer,’ but others say, ‘Elijah,’ and others, that one of the old prophets has risen again.”

²⁷Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

¹⁰I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, “Look! Don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”

¹¹As they continued on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. ¹²Elisha saw it, and he cried, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” He saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
