Mark 13:6

²²For false christs and false prophets will arise and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

³⁶For before these days Theudas rose up, making himself out to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves. He was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed and came to nothing. ³⁷After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the enrollment, and drew away some people after him. He also perished, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered abroad. ³⁸Now I tell you, withdraw from these men and leave them alone. For if this counsel or this work is of men, it will be overthrown. ³⁹But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it, and you would be found even to be fighting against God!”

¹¹Many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray.

²³“Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There!’ don’t believe it. ²⁴For false christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

⁴³I have come in my Father’s name, and you don’t receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him.

⁵For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray.

¹Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

²⁴I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am^[+] he, you will die in your sins.”

²¹I didn’t send these prophets, yet they ran. I didn’t speak to them, yet they prophesied. ²²But if they had stood in my council, then they would have caused my people to hear my words, and would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. ²³“Am I a God at hand,” says the LORD, “and not a God afar off? ²⁴Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I can’t see him?” says the LORD. “Don’t I fill heaven and earth?” says the LORD.

²⁵“I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’

¹⁴Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in my name. I didn’t send them. I didn’t command them. I didn’t speak to them. They prophesy to you a lying vision, divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their own heart.
