Mark 11:12

¹⁸Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry. ¹⁹Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!” Immediately the fig tree withered away.

²⁰When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?”

²¹Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done. ²²All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

²When he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.

²⁸After this, Jesus, seeing^[+] that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty!”

²for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.

¹⁷Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

⁶Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

^7[+] A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”

³¹In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”

³²But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”

³³The disciples therefore said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?”
