Mark 1:1

¹¹The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹²He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.

³The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

¹⁷Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

³¹but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

²even as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word delivered them to us, ³it seemed good to me also, having traced the course of all things accurately from the first, to write to you in order, most excellent Theophilus;

³³Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”

¹⁴The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born^[+] of the Father, full of grace and truth.

⁵While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

³For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

¹Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,^[+] called to be an apostle, set apart for the Good News of God, ²which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, ³concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring^[+] of David according to the flesh, ⁴who was declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,
