Matthew 26:29

²looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹⁷for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

²⁵Most certainly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in God’s Kingdom.”

³He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

²⁹I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me, ³⁰that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

¹⁵He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, ¹⁶for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.” ¹⁷He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves, ¹⁸for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”

⁴¹not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen before by God, to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

¹³But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

⁴³Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

²³Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s eat and celebrate; ²⁴for this, my son, was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found.’ Then they began to celebrate.

²⁵“Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.
