Matthew 22:9

²¹“That servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor, maimed, blind, and lame.’

²²“The servant said, ‘Lord, it is done as you commanded, and there is still room.’

²³“The lord said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. ²⁴For I tell you that none of those men who were invited will taste of my supper. For many are called, but few are chosen.’”

¹⁵He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation. ¹⁶He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.

²⁰Wisdom calls aloud in the street. She utters her voice in the public squares. ²¹She calls at the head of noisy places. At the entrance of the city gates, she utters her words: ²²“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge? ²³Turn at my reproof. Behold, ^[+] I will pour out my spirit on you. I will make known my words to you.

¹⁷The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” He who hears, let him say, “Come!” He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

⁴“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him, ⁵“Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed! ⁶Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”

⁸To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

¹“Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. ²Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which doesn’t satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in richness. ³Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

¹Doesn’t wisdom cry out? Doesn’t understanding raise her voice? ²On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands. ³Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud: ⁴“I call to you men! I send my voice to the sons of mankind. ⁵You simple, understand prudence! You fools, be of an understanding heart!

⁴⁷For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’”

⁶Seek the LORD while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. ⁷Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.
