Matthew 22:30

³⁴Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage. ³⁵But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. ³⁶For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.

²⁴Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God? ²⁵For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

³⁸For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,

²⁹But I say this, brothers: the time is short. From now on, both those who have wives may be as though they had none; ³⁰and those who weep, as though they didn’t weep; and those who rejoice, as though they didn’t rejoice; and those who buy, as though they didn’t possess; ³¹and those who use the world, as not using it to the fullest. For the mode of this world passes away.

²⁸Don’t marvel at this, for the hour comes in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice ²⁹and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

¹See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him. ²Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.

¹⁰I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, “Look! Don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”

⁴³Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

²⁰Praise the LORD, you angels of his, who are mighty in strength, who fulfill his word, obeying the voice of his word.

¹⁰See that you don’t despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
