Luke 7:22

⁵Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. ⁶Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

¹The Lord GOD’s Spirit is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound,^2[+] to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, ³to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.

¹⁸“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted,^[+] to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,

¹⁸In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness. ¹⁹The humble also will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

⁵Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

¹⁴He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!” ¹⁵He who was dead sat up and began to speak. Then he gave him to his mother.

³⁰Great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they put them down at his feet. He healed them, ³¹so that the multitude wondered when they saw the mute speaking, the injured healed, the lame walking, and the blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.

⁵³They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead. ⁵⁴But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!” ⁵⁵Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

²⁸When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”

²⁹Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” ³⁰Then their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”

⁸At Lystra a certain man sat, impotent in his feet, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked. ⁹He was listening to Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes on him and seeing that he had faith to be made whole, ¹⁰said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!” He leaped up and walked.
