Luke 6:27

¹⁵See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.

³⁵But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

²¹If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink; ²²for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

¹⁷Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. ¹⁸If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. ¹⁹Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” ²⁰Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

²¹Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

¹⁷Don’t rejoice when your enemy falls. Don’t let your heart be glad when he is overthrown,

⁴³“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’^44[+] But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, ⁴⁵that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

¹⁰So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

⁴“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again. ⁵If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don’t leave him. You shall surely help him with it.

³⁴Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

²⁴He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you; and more will be given to you who hear.
