Luke 21:3

¹²For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.

³⁴Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism;

²how in a severe ordeal of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their generosity. ³For according to their power, I testify, yes and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,

^43[+] He called his disciples to himself and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury, ⁴⁴for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”

²¹They came, everyone whose heart stirred him up, and everyone whom his spirit made willing, and brought the LORD’s offering for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all of its service, and for the holy garments. ²²They came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to the LORD. ²³Everyone with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, and sea cow hides, brought them. ²⁴Everyone who offered an offering of silver and bronze brought the LORD’s offering; and everyone with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it. ²⁵All the women who were wise-hearted spun with their hands, and brought that which they had spun: the blue, the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen. ²⁶All the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair. ²⁷The rulers brought the onyx stones and the stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate; ²⁸with the spice and the oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense. ²⁹The children of Israel brought a free will offering to the LORD; every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by Moses.

⁴⁴Truly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.

²⁷But I tell you the truth: There are some of those who stand here who will in no way taste of death until they see God’s Kingdom.”

⁶Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. ⁷Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

²⁵But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.

⁸She has done what she could. She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying. ⁹Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her.”
