Luke 2:31

¹“Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations. ²He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street. ³He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice. ⁴He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands wait for his law.”

¹For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning lamp. ²The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name, which the LORD’s mouth will name.

²The LORD has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations. ³He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

²¹Declare and present it. Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has shown this from ancient time? Who has declared it of old? Haven’t I, the LORD? There is no other God besides me, a just God and a Savior. There is no one besides me. ²²“Look to me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. ²³I have sworn by myself. The word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and will not be revoked, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath. ²⁴They will say of me, ‘There is righteousness and strength only in the LORD.’” Even to him will men come. All those who raged against him will be disappointed. ²⁵All the offspring of Israel will be justified in the LORD, and will rejoice!

¹⁰Sing to the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is therein, the islands and their inhabitants. ¹¹Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, with the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains! ¹²Let them give glory to the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.

⁶The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory. ⁷Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!^8[+] Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgments, LORD.

¹⁰Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” The world is also established. It can’t be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity. ¹¹Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar, and its fullness! ¹²Let the field and all that is in it exult! Then all the trees of the woods shall sing for joy ¹³before the LORD; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.

¹Sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth. ²Sing to the LORD! Bless his name! Proclaim his salvation from day to day! ³Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
