Luke 17:24

²⁷For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

³⁰and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

¹“For behold, the day comes, burning like a furnace, when all the proud and all who work wickedness will be stubble. The day that comes will burn them up,” says the LORD of Armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. ²But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.

¹⁴The LORD will be seen over them. His arrow will flash like lightning. The Lord GOD will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

¹“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me! The Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple. Behold, the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, is coming!” says the LORD of Armies. ²“But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderers’ soap;

¹⁰But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat; and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

⁸You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

²For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.

²not to be quickly shaken in your mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter as if from us, saying that the day of Christ has already come.

³He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth. ⁴After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.
