Luke 12:16

¹²Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year one hundred times what he planted. The LORD blessed him. ¹³The man grew great, and grew more and more until he became very great. ¹⁴He had possessions of flocks, possessions of herds, and a great household. The Philistines envied him.

⁸For she didn’t know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, and multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.

⁴⁷In the seven plenteous years the earth produced abundantly. ⁴⁸He gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities. He stored food in each city from the fields around that city. ⁴⁹Joseph laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it was without number.

⁶The tents of robbers prosper. Those who provoke God are secure, who carry their god in their hands.

³For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

¹²Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.

¹⁷Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you^[+] rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

⁴⁵that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.
