Joshua 15:38

⁷He killed ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt, and took Sela by war, and called its name Joktheel, to this day.

⁵Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to the LORD for you.” ⁶They gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, “We have sinned against the LORD.” Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah.

¹Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, to the LORD at Mizpah.

^48[+] Laban said, “This heap is witness between me and you today.” Therefore it was named Galeed ⁴⁹and Mizpah, for he said, “The LORD watch between me and you, when we are absent one from another.

⁵The children of Israel said, “Who is there among all the tribes of Israel who didn’t come up in the assembly to the LORD?” For they had made a great oath concerning him who didn’t come up to the LORD to Mizpah, saying, “He shall surely be put to death.”

¹⁶He went from year to year in a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah; and he judged Israel in all those places.

¹⁷Samuel called the people together to the LORD to Mizpah;
