Joshua 11:22

⁴A champion out of the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span^[+] went out.

¹After this, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.

⁴⁶from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.

⁴even three thousand talents of gold,^[+] of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents^[+] of refined silver, with which to overlay the walls of the houses; ⁵of gold for the things of gold, and of silver for the things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be made by the hands of artisans. Who then offers willingly to consecrate himself today to the LORD?”

⁶Then the princes of the fathers’ households, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king’s work, offered willingly; ⁷and they gave for the service of God’s house of gold five thousand talents^[+] and ten thousand darics,^[+] of silver ten thousand talents, of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and of iron one hundred thousand talents. ⁸People with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the LORD’s house, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

¹³and Beriah and Shema, who were heads of fathers’ households of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who put to flight the inhabitants of Gath;

Then Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Saph, who was of the sons of the giant. ¹⁹There was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite’s brother, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam. ²⁰There was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on every hand and six toes on every foot, twenty-four in number, and he also was born to the giant. ²¹When he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei, David’s brother, killed him. ²²These four were born to the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.
