Job 38:13

³⁵Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD,^[+] my soul. Praise the LORD!

³He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.

²⁷Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. The LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.

¹³“These are of those who rebel against the light. They don’t know its ways, nor stay in its paths. ¹⁴The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief. ¹⁵The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, ‘No eye will see me.’ He disguises his face. ¹⁶In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They don’t know the light. ¹⁷For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.

²¹The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God. ²²The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.

⁴Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, ⁵which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course. ⁶His going out is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends. There is nothing hidden from its heat.

⁹If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, ¹⁰even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me. ¹¹If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me. The light around me will be night,” ¹²even the darkness doesn’t hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you.
