Job 36:31

²⁵who gives food to every creature, for his loving kindness endures forever.

¹³whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.

¹⁷Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you^[+] rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

¹³He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works. ¹⁴He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth: ¹⁵wine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.

²⁶to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man, on the wilderness, in which there is no man, ²⁷to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to grow?

²⁷These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. ²⁸You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.

⁹You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it. ¹⁰You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop. ¹¹You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. ¹²The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness. ¹³The pastures are covered with flocks. The valleys also are clothed with grain. They shout for joy! They also sing.

¹⁵who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with venomous snakes and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who poured water for you out of the rock of flint;

²²Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, or have you seen the storehouses of the hail, ²³which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

¹⁷I, even I, will bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
