Job 36:14

³²It will be accomplished before his time. His branch will not be green.

¹⁶who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream,

¹⁷There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

²³But you, God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.

²³One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet. ²⁴His pails are full of milk. The marrow of his bones is moistened. ²⁵Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.

²⁴Then the LORD rained on Sodom and on Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the LORD out of the sky. ²⁵He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew on the ground.

⁵They called to Lot, and said to him, “Where are the men who came in to you this night? Bring them out to us, that we may have sex with them.”

¹Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he had not commanded them. ²Fire came out from before the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

⁷Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the LORD’s sight. So the LORD killed him. ⁸Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” ⁹Onan knew that the offspring wouldn’t be his; and when he went in to his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother. ¹⁰The thing which he did was evil in the LORD’s sight, and he killed him also.
