Job 29:24

²⁴I smiled on them when they had no confidence. They didn’t reject the light of my face.

²⁴If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.

²⁴If I smiled at them, they did not believe it; the light of my countenance was precious.

²⁴When I smiled at them they could hardly believe it; my approval meant all the world to them.

¹When the LORD brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream.

¹⁵Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, LORD.

⁶Many say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, let the light of your face shine on us.

⁴¹While they still didn’t believe for joy, and wondered, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

²⁶They told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” His heart fainted, for he didn’t believe them.
