Job 29:13

⁷For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

¹⁶May the Lord grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain, ¹⁷but when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently and found me ¹⁸(the Lord grant to him to find the Lord’s mercy in that day); and in how many things he served at Ephesus, you know very well.

¹³It will happen in that day that a great trumpet will be blown; and those who were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and those who were outcasts in the land of Egypt, shall come; and they will worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

⁹You have sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

¹⁹if I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the needy had no covering; ²⁰if his heart hasn’t blessed me, if he hasn’t been warmed with my sheep’s fleece;

⁶Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish, and wine to the bitter in soul. ⁷Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. ⁸Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. ⁹Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.”

³⁹Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper room. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the tunics and other garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. ⁴⁰Peter sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. ⁴¹He gave her his hand and raised her up. Calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

¹⁰Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

¹¹So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Hold your peace, for the day is holy. Don’t be grieved.”

¹²All the people went their way to eat, to drink, to send portions, and to celebrate, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

¹¹You shall rejoice before the LORD your God: you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, the Levite who is within your gates, the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow who are among you, in the place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there.

¹³You shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment and bless you. It shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God.
