Job 22:5

⁵For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the language of the crafty. ⁶Your own mouth condemns you, and not I. Yes, your own lips testify against you.

¹²For innumerable evils have surrounded me. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head. My heart has failed me.

¹²Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.

⁶that he would show you the secrets of wisdom! For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.

⁷“Remember, now, who ever perished, being innocent? Or where were the upright cut off? ⁸According to what I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble, reap the same. ⁹By the breath of God they perish. By the blast of his anger are they consumed. ¹⁰The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, the teeth of the young lions, are broken. ¹¹The old lion perishes for lack of prey. The cubs of the lioness are scattered abroad.

¹⁴If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Don’t let unrighteousness dwell in your tents.

³Also his wrath was kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

³¹Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself, for emptiness will be his reward. ³²It will be accomplished before his time. His branch will not be green. ³³He will shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and will cast off his flower as the olive tree. ³⁴For the company of the godless will be barren, and fire will consume the tents of bribery.

²⁷“Behold, I know your thoughts, the plans with which you would wrong me.
