Job 19:19

⁹Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate bread with me, has lifted up his heel against me.

⁴In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer. ⁵They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

¹²For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him. ¹³But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend. ¹⁴We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God’s house with company.

¹¹My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague. My kinsmen stand far away.

¹⁴“To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty. ¹⁵My brothers have dealt deceitfully as a brook, as the channel of brooks that pass away;

⁴⁸But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”

²⁰He raises his hands against his friends. He has violated his covenant.
