John 2:12

⁴⁶While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, seeking to speak to him.

³His brothers therefore said to him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do. ⁴For no one does anything in secret while he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.” ⁵For even his brothers didn’t believe in him.

¹⁹But of the other apostles I saw no one except James, the Lord’s brother.

⁵⁵Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?⁵⁶Aren’^[+] t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?”

⁵Have we no right to take along a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

¹³When they had come in, they went up into the upper room where they were staying, that is Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. ¹⁴All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer and supplication, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

¹³Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,

³Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” So they were offended at him.

¹⁷They entered into the boat, and were going over the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not come to them.

²³You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Hades. ^[+] For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until today.
