John 15:18

¹³Don’t be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.

⁷The world can’t hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.

²²Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.

²⁰For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

¹³You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.

¹See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.

¹¹“Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

⁴You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

²³He who hates me, hates my Father also. ²⁴If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father. ²⁵But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’
