Judges 10:11

³⁰Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.

²¹Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, saying, ²²“Let me pass through your land. We will not turn away into field or vineyard. We will not drink of the water of the wells. We will go by the king’s highway, until we have passed your border.”

²³Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his border, but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness, and came to Jahaz. He fought against Israel. ²⁴Israel struck him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, even to the children of Ammon; for the border of the children of Ammon was fortified. ²⁵Israel took all these cities. Israel lived in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all its villages.

³¹After him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who struck six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad. He also saved Israel.

²⁹By faith they passed through the Red Sea as on dry land. When the Egyptians tried to do so, they were swallowed up.

⁸“When Jacob had come into Egypt, and your fathers cried to the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt, and made them to dwell in this place.

³⁵So they struck him, with his sons and all his people, until there were no survivors; and they possessed his land.

⁵¹and struck all the firstborn in Egypt, the chief of their strength in the tents of Ham. ⁵²But he led out his own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. ⁵³He led them safely, so that they weren’t afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

⁸Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known. ⁹He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert. ¹⁰He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. ¹¹The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.

¹The LORD’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, “I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you. ²You shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You shall break down their altars.’ But you have not listened to my voice. Why have you done this? ³Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.’”

¹⁰He struck many nations, and killed mighty kings— ¹¹Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan—
