Isaiah 64:1

³For behold, ^[+] the LORD comes out of his place, and will come down and tread on the high places of the earth. ⁴The mountains melt under him, and the valleys split apart like wax before the fire, like waters that are poured down a steep place.

¹⁰Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

¹¹I saw a great white throne and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the sky fled away. There was found no place for them.

⁸The earth trembled. The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God of Sinai— at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

¹⁸All of Mount Sinai smoked, because the LORD descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. ¹⁹When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

⁵Part your heavens, LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke. ⁶Throw out lightning, and scatter them. Send out your arrows, and rout them.

⁵The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, yes, the world, and all who dwell in it. ⁶Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by him.

¹⁵Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.

¹A prayer of Habakkuk, the prophet, set to victorious music. ²LORD, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew your work in the middle of the years. In the middle of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy. ³God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and his praise filled the earth. ⁴His splendor is like the sunrise. Rays shine from his hand, where his power is hidden. ⁵Plague went before him, and pestilence followed his feet. ⁶He stood, and shook the earth. He looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains were crumbled. The age-old hills collapsed. His ways are eternal. ⁷I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction. The dwellings of the land of Midian trembled. ⁸Was the LORD displeased with the rivers? Was your anger against the rivers, or your wrath against the sea, that you rode on your horses, on your chariots of salvation? ⁹You uncovered your bow. You called for your sworn arrows. Selah. You split the earth with rivers. ¹⁰The mountains saw you, and were afraid. The storm of waters passed by. The deep roared and lifted up its hands on high. ¹¹The sun and moon stood still in the sky at the light of your arrows as they went, at the shining of your glittering spear. ¹²You marched through the land in wrath. You threshed the nations in anger. ¹³You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the land of wickedness. You stripped them head to foot. Selah.

⁸I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
