Isaiah 54:9

WEB

9For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

KJV

9For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

BSB

9For to Me this is like the days of Noah,[+] when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

FBV

9To me this is just like Noah's time, when I promised with an oath that a flood would never cover the earth again. In the same way I promise with an oath that I won't be angry with you or tell you off.

23The LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying, 24“Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, ‘Has the LORD cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.” 25The LORD says: “If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, 26then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”
