Isaiah 33:10

⁵“Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him.”

¹³You will arise and have mercy on Zion, for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come. ¹⁴For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust. ¹⁵So the nations will fear the LORD’s name, all the kings of the earth your glory. ¹⁶For the LORD has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory. ¹⁷He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer. ¹⁸This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise the LORD,

¹⁷One thousand will flee at the threat of one. At the threat of five, you will flee until you are left like a beacon on the top of a mountain, and like a banner on a hill.

¹⁸Therefore the LORD will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.

¹Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who are secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!

¹³The LORD will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies. ¹⁴“I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.

¹⁶He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness sustained him. ¹⁷He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.

⁶Arise, LORD, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries. Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.

¹⁸The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.”

¹⁰“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

³³Behold, the Lord, GOD of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
