Isaiah 29:23

¹⁰For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.

²⁵because the LORD of Armies has blessed them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”

¹¹The LORD, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker says: “You ask me about the things that are to come, concerning my sons, and you command me concerning the work of my hands!

¹³The LORD of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.

¹⁶but the LORD of Armies is exalted in justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.

²⁰The children of your bereavement will say in your ears, ‘This place is too small for me. Give me a place to live in.’ ²¹Then you will say in your heart, ‘Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children and am alone, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought these up? Behold, I was left alone. Where were these?’” ²²The Lord GOD says, “Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and lift up my banner to the peoples. They shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders. ²³Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD; and those who wait for me won’t be disappointed.” ²⁴Shall the plunder be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered? ²⁵But the LORD says, “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the plunder retrieved from the fierce, for I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your children. ²⁶I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they will be drunk on their own blood, as with sweet wine. Then all flesh shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

²¹Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

¹⁵The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!”

¹⁶The twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God’s throne, fell on their faces and worshiped God, ¹⁷saying: “We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was,^[+] because you have taken your great power and reigned.

²¹the people which I formed for myself, that they might declare my praise.

⁵Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days.
